Thomas Temple

Alderman Thomas Temple was appointed to the city council in May 2017. Tom was born in Watseka Illinois. He lived in Sheldon Illinois until age 11. As a child Tom resided in several different states which include California, Washington, and Florida. He moved to Momence in 1972. Tom married Deborah Giger in 1975. Tom and his wife were married for 40 years until her passing in 2015. He has 2 sons, a daughter, and six grandchildren. His sons are currently serving in the military and his daughter attends college at the University of Iowa. Tom is currently employed at Baker & Taylor. He has been with the company for 44 years where he holds the position of Corporate Safety Manager and Facilities Maintenance Manager. He enjoys traveling, photography, riding motorcycles, and visiting with family and friends. Tom is a member of the Police, Streets and Alleys, and Water and Sewer Committees.
