addressedwere regardingpercentageof profit, not to take business away fromBerkots or thegas

Repairs neededdue to repair from summer flooding. Curb to curb repair ona twoblock radius from
Vermont toOregon intersections. TysonEngineering recommendedGallagher for $62,267. Alderman
NovaMetzmadeamotion toapproveTysonEngineering’s recommendationof Gallagher Construction
for repairs of GladiolusStreet from curb to curbwith$62,267 funds from sewer depreciationand$10,000
check fromBaker andTaylor tohelpwith repairs. AldermanCook seconded themotionwithAldermen
Denton, Navratil, NovaMetz, Kupferer, Cook, Lesynaand JohnMetz voting yes. AldermanSteele voted
nountil bidding is known tobe correct.
AldermanKupferer: Discuss andVoteonpurchaseof lap tops for PoliceDepartment. Seven
Motorola lap tops areneeded. All informationgoes through lap tops, reporting, etc., and is part of the
NewWorldSystem. Laptops currently usedareno longer supportedbyMicrosoft. Only 6 laptops are
workingat this time. Grant was being looked into tohopefully off set computer cost; City didn’t receive
grant. PoliceChief would like topurchase fromDuratechEnterprises: 7Novell Laptops at a cost of
$11,886and is looking for Council approval. Computers havebeenbudgeted for; everything in cars
nowwill integratewithnew laptops; Sherriff’s department will set them up. Bid included for $11,886.

Alderman JohnMetz stated that a fewmeetings agoCouncil discussedgettinganengineer to
look at the corner of Mechanic andLocust concerning thewater draining/standing. Potentially alleviate
problem by clearingout overgrownditch. City owns aportionof theditchandwill see if it canbe
cleared. Scott Behrends spoke to contractors and they felt the sameway.
