Ald. JackMetz inquiredabout the requests for liquor licenses. Mayor Porter reported
that theCity had received 8 requests, somewere businesses that also serve food.
Ald. Chuck Steele hadone bid for the boom truck. ActingCityClerkMargaret Clifton
opened thebidwhichwas for $7,000. in “as is” condition. Following discussion it was agreed
that thebidwould be declined. Director of PublicWorks, Scott Behrends, would like to see the
bid around $10,000.

Ald. CharlesSteelewas contacted byMelrosePyrotechniqueswho did the July 4
th
fireworks at theMomence IslandPark and if there isn’t better security theywon’t want to come
