of the June1, 2015, Council Meetingas presented. Alderman Lesyna seconded themotionwith
AldermenDenton, Navratil, NovaMetz, Kupferer, Lesyna and JohnMetz voting yes. Alderman
SteeleandCook passed
APPROVALOFTHEBILLS
The billswere discussed at tonight'sBudget andFinanceCommitteeMeeting. Alderman
Dentonmade amotion to approve the bills for payment. AldermanNovaMetz seconded themotion
withAldermenDenton, Navratil, NovaMetz, Steele, Kupferer, Cook, Lesyna and JohnMetz voting
yes.
CITIZENFORUM
Javier Gonzalez approachedCouncil as apotential food vendor requestinguseof thePine
Street parking lot (NAPA lot) wanting themiddle section of the 3 vendors that use that lot for
Thursday, Friday andSaturday of theGladFest weekend. AldermanNovaMetzmade amotion to
approve the use of theparking lot as a food vendor for Javier Gonzalez for the dates listedabove.
AldermanCook seconded themotion. Motion carriedwith 8Ayes 0Nays.
LauraSimak discussedwithCouncil the negative impact of grain operation inoldOrr Building
stating that there is a constant bangingbeginningat approximately 6:40A.M. and is echoingand
rattlingwindows in her home onGreggBoulevard. Mrs. Simak stated that sheworks second shift
andhas usedear plugs, etc. to try and sleepduring theday. Therealso ismessy truck traffic, the
smell of garbage and the building is nothing to the community but an eyesore, which is bringing
down property values. Chief suggested she comeand speak to theCityCouncil (which she has
given up a vacationday to do). This has been goingon formonths andnothing is beingdone.
