minutes of theMay 4, 2015, Council Meetingas presented. AldermanNovaMetz seconded the
motionwithAldermenNavratil, NovaMetz, Steele, Kupferer, Cook, Lesyna and JohnMetz voting
yes. AldermanDentonpassed.
APPROVALOFTHEBILLS
The billswere discussed at tonight'sBudget andFinanceCommitteeMeeting. Craig
Kennedy's bill for $624 is to comeout of PublicProperty repairs andmaintenance,Account #10-43-
91-04. AldermanDentonmade amotion toapprove thebills for payment as amended. Alderman
Kupferer seconded themotionwithAldermenDenton, Navratil, NovaMetz, Steele, Kupferer, Cook,
Lesyna and JohnMetz voting yes.
CITIZENFORUM
DennisReaman –MainStreetMomence requesting street closings onEast andWest
WashingtonStreet. Request was for CruiseNights from5-8 p.m. on June 9and 23, July 14 and28
andAugust 11and25, alongwithBordertownHauntings onOctober 24 and theChristmas
GatheringonDecember 5. AldermanCookmade amotion toapproveMainStreetMomence’s
street closures request as stated above. AldermanNovaMetz seconded themotion. Motion carried
with 8Ayes, 0Nays.
JayKerouac addressedCouncil regarding responsibility for current codeenforcement
program. He stated howover thepast 14 years, building codes and the codeenforcement
programs have been operated. Recently 89 letters have been sent out regarding codeenforcement.
Mr. Kerouacwanted tomake it clear that he is in favor of codeenforcement but is not the causeof
