APPROVALOFPREVIOUSMEETINGMINUTES
TheRegular andExecutiveSessionminutes from theApril 20, 2015, CityCouncil meeting
were approved at theCityCouncil Canvasmeetingheld earlier tonight.
APPROVALOFTHEBILLS
The billswere discussed at tonight'sBudget andFinanceCommitteeMeeting. Alderman
Lesynamade amotion to approve the bills for payment. AldermanNovaMetz seconded themotion
withAldermenNavratil, NovaMetz, Steele, Kupferer, Cook, Lesyna and JohnMetz voting yes.

OLDBUSINESS
AldermanKupferer stated that hewas askedby a business owner todiscuss code
enforcement for businesses. Letters have been received stating that this business has tobe
cleaned up; it is beingquestioned because vehicles on this property are in various states of repair.
Codeenforcement for vehicles being repairedwas statedas: all run, all have licenseplates and
insurance, all areoperable. Chief Cavender explained codeenforcement, hehad beenasked to
stepup codeenforcement issues in theCity of Momence. Thegeneral appearance of community is
a concern; pictureswere brought topolice. Chief andLieutenant Veckmans surveyed properties
and identified86propertieswith code enforcement issues. They then identifiedproperty owners,
