AldermanDenton corrected the regular sessionminutes as follows: Namewas incorrectly
typed, changed fromGaleHess toDaleHess. AldermanDentonmade amotion toapprove the
Regular andExecutiveSessionminutes of theAugust 19, 2013, Council Meetingas amended
above. AldermanKupferer seconded themotionwithAldermenDenton, NovaMetz, Steele,
Kupferer, Lesyna and JohnMetz voting yes. AldermanStraley andCook passed.
APPROVALOFTHEBILLS
The billswere discussed at tonight'sBudget andFinanceCommitteeMeeting. Alderman
Straleymade amotion to approve the bills for payment. AldermanNovaMetz seconded themotion
withAldermenDenton, Straley, NovaMetz, Steele, Kupferer, Cook and Lesyna voting yes.
Alderman JohnMetz passed.
CITIZENFORUM
DanGero–Knights of ColumbusTootsieRoll Drive. Requested theTootsieRoll Drive to be
heldat all major intersections inMomence onSeptember 20and 21 from 7-11AMwith bothBoy
Scouts and youth group peopleassisting theKnights. Alderman JohnMetz made amotion to
approve theKnights of ColumbusTootsieRoll Drive for the dates, times and locationsmentioned
above. AldermanCook seconded themotion. Motion carriedwith 8Ayes and 0Nays.
BeckyCollins –Donation toMomencePoliceDepartment for RedRibbonWeek. Mrs. Collins
stated that sinceDARE andGREATareno longer available for schools, they hada fundraiser to
raisemoney for thepolice department to useduringRedRibbonWeek. ShepresentedChief
Swansonwith a check for $900.
