Roll was called by theClerkwithAldermenDenton, NovaMetz, Steele, Kupferer, Lesyna and
JohnMetz present. Also present wasMayorMickPorter. AldermanCook andStraleywere absent.
Mayor Porter called for amotion toallowAldermanStraley to attendelectronically becauseof
employment purposes. AldermanKupferermadeamotion to allowAldermanStraley to attend
tonight'sCouncil meetingelectronically. AldermanNovaMetz seconded themotionwithAlderman
Denton, NovaMetz, Steele, Kupferer, Lesynaand JohnMetz voting yes. Mayor Porter declared
AldermanStraley present.
APPROVALOFPREVIOUSMEETINGMINUTES
AldermanKupferermade amotion toapprove theRegular andExecutiveSessionminutes of
theAugust 5, 2013, Council Meetings as presented. AldermanNovaMetz seconded themotionwith
AldermenNovaMetz, Steele, Kupferer, Lesyna and JohnMetz voting yes. AldermanDentonand
Straley passed.
APPROVALOFTHEBILLS
The billswere discussed at tonight'sBudget andFinanceCommitteeMeeting. Alderman
Lesynamade amotion to approve the bills for payment. AldermanDenton seconded themotion
withAldermenDenton, NovaMetz, Steele, Kupferer, Lesyna and JohnMetz voting yes.
AldermanStraley passed.

VerdaeGroup –Report on community conversation. LisaWoganandTomClark
discussed
theopportunity towork closer/sharing ideas on the development of theCity of Momencewith the
City of Momence, MainStreet Momence, Chamber of Commerce, GladFest Committee, Friends of
thePark etc. by building strategic partnershipswith leaders of the communitywith discussion of
developing the community by: Retainingexistingbusinesses, locally growingour economy and
