Chambers at 123W. River Street, Momence. MayorMickPorter called themeeting toorder.
ROLLCALL
Roll was called by theClerkwithAldermenDenton, NovaMetz, Steele, Kupferer, Cook,
Lesyna and JohnMetz present. Alsopresent wasMayorMickPorter. AldermanStraleywas absent
(business).
BUSINESS
PoliceCommitteewas held tonight discussing steps to take for anappointment for newChief
of Policeposition. Duringmeeting it wasmentioned goingwith an interimPoliceChief. Mayor
would like to continue to talk to candidates,AldermanSteelewould like todiscuss salary and
benefits for full timepolice chief.
EXECUTIVESESSION
AldermanDentonmade amotion to enter intoExecutiveSession todiscuss personnel,
possibly to comeout and do business. AldermanCook seconded themotionwithAldermenDenton,
NovaMetz, Steele, Kupferer, Cook, Lesyna and JohnMetz voting yes. Entered intoExecutive
Sessionat 7:32P.M. Returned fromExecutiveSession at 8:13P.M.
Mayor requested approval of ChadGessner as interimChief of Police throughKankakee
CountySheriff’sDepartment with theCity of Momence. AldermanDentonmademotion to approve
the request of ChadGessner as interimChief of Police for theCity of Momence. Alderman
Kupferer seconded themotion. Motion carriedwith 7Ayes 0Nays.
AldermanKupferermade amotion toadjourn themeeting. AldermanDenton seconded the
motionwithAldermenDenton, NovaMetz, Steele, Kupferer, Cook, Lesyna and JohnMetz voting
yes. Meetingadjourned at 8:17P.M.
