Lesyna and JohnMetz present. Alsopresent wasMayorMickPorter. AldermanSteelewas absent.

AldermanCookmadeamotion toapprove theRegular andExecutiveSessionminutes of the
September 3, 2013, Council Meetingas presented. AldermanDenton seconded themotionwith
AldermenDenton, Straley, NovaMetz, Kupferer, Cook, Lesyna and JohnMetz voting yes.
APPROVALOFTHEBILLS
The billswere discussed at tonight'sBudget andFinanceCommitteeMeeting. Alderman
Straleymade amotion to approve the bills for payment. AldermanKupferer seconded themotion
withAldermenDenton, Straley, NovaMetz, Kupferer, Cook, Lesynaand JohnMetz voting yes.
CITIZENFORUM
Bill Gilbert –Questions about possible landacquisition anduse. Mr. Gilbert stated that his
goal is to raise$15,000 for the vacant lot locatedon the corner of Dixie andRiver Street, then raise
approximately $6,000- $22,000 for a clock tobe purchasedandplaced on the vacant lot as a
beautification todowntownMomence. Lot wouldbe donated to theCity and theCitywould be
responsible for its upkeepand landscaping. Mr. Gilbert believes thiswould be agreat addition to
the community to see somethingbeautiful as they enter town. Their goal is to try to find a clock to
match the overhanging street lights. Council supports his endeavor.

Fran LeBeau/MainStreet Momence –Request street closures for December 7, Christmas
Gathering. Requesting closure of EastWashingtonStreet fromDixieHighway to Locust on
