ANORDINANCEAMENDINGANORDINANCEREGULATINGTHE
REGISTRATIONOFGOLFCARTSWITHINTHECITYLIMITS
WHEREAS,
theCityCouncil of theCityofMomence, Illinois desires to ensure the
safety andwell beingof its citizens, inhabitants, and all other persons
within theCity limits of theCityofMomence, Illinois; and
WHEREAS,
theCityCouncil of theCityofMomence, Illinois, has considered the fact
that registration of golf carts should be at a timewhen theweather is
pleasant, andwill not jeopardize the safety andwelfare of its citizens; and
WHEREAS,
theCityCouncil of theCityofMomence, Illinoiswishes to amend theCity
Code, specificallyunder a portion of theCode known asTitle 8, Chapter
4, Section 20, SubsectionB, Paragraph 6.
NOW, THEREFORE,
be it ordained by theCityCouncil of theCityofMomence,
Illinois as follows:
SECTION1:
That Title 8, Chapter 4, Section 20, SubsectionB, Paragraph 6, of theCity
Codeof theCityofMomence, Illinois is hereby repealed.
SECTION2:
That there is herebyadded to theCityCodeof theCityofMomence, Illinois
the followingparagraphunder and in substitution for Title 8, Chapter 4,
Section 20, SubsectionB, Paragraph 6, of theCityCodeof theCityof
Momence, Illinois hereinabove repealed.
6.
AllGolfCarts shall be insured and licensed by registering theGolf
Cart annually, during themonth ofMay, of each year. The fee for
registration is Twenty-five andNo/100 ($25.00)Dollars paid to the
CityCollectorsOffice at CityHall. Proof of insurance is required to
register.
SECTION 3:
The provisions and sections of this ordinance shall be deemed separable
and the invalidityof anyportion of this ordinance shall not affect the
validityof the remainder.
SECTION 4
: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after its passage,
adoption, and publication as required by law.
