APPROVALOFPREVIOUSMEETINGMINUTES
AldermanNovaMetzmade amotion toapprove theRegular Sessionminutes of the July 7,
2014, Council Meetingas presented. Alderman Lesyna seconded themotionwithAldermen
Denton, Straley, NovaMetz, Steele, Kupferer, Cook, Lesyna and JohnMetz voting yes.
APPROVALOFTHEBILLS
The billswere discussed at tonight'sBudget andFinanceCommitteeMeeting. Onebill from
SynagroTechnologies for sludge hauling in the amount of $41,432.58, will be suspended for further
investigation. AldermanStraleymadeamotion to approve the bills for payment. AldermanKupferer
seconded themotionwithAldermenDenton, Straley, NovaMetz, Steele, Kupferer, Cook, Lesyna
and JohnMetz voting yes.
CITIZENFORUM
JimHess: Crossing safety switches. Corner of Dixie andSecondStreet. Switches have
been tornoff. JeannineBlanchette stated that Outsenhandles themand they state theywouldbe
taken careof. Chief to take careof tomorrowmorning.
JayKerouac: Sidewalks. Areawhich isMcDonaldPark, runs from sidewalk at Dixie down
buildingbehindProgressReporter is tobe replacedwith another sidewalk. Differentmaterial and
different design. Money to fix sidewalks, whywouldwe tear out a perfectly good sidewalk to replace
it with something that looks a little different. Council approved redesign. Paidwithmix of taxpayer
money andprivate funds, FordConcrete doing installation. Citizenasked if Gazebo couldbemoved
with redesign, yes it can. Attorney has beenapproached regardingGazebo being surplus. Park
Boarddid not want thegazebo. GoodShepherd paid for removal of Gazebo. Redesign has been in
paper. Gazebowas built by a contractor for theCity andwas removed because garbageand
