Council Meeting as presented. Alderman Lesyna seconded themotionwithAldermenDenton, Straley, Nova
Metz, Steele, Kupferer, Cook, Lesyna and JohnMetz voting yes.
APPROVALOFTHEBILLS
Thebillswere discussed at tonight'sBudget andFinanceCommitteeMeeting. AldermanStraley
made amotion toapprove thebills for payment. AldermanNovaMetz seconded themotionwithAldermen
Denton, Straley, NovaMetz, Steele, Kupferer, Cook, Lesyna and JohnMetz voting yes.
CITIZENFORUM
Request for street closure of NorthLocust; EastWashington toEast River St. from12PMuntil 7PM
onAugust 2nd for a bean bag tournament (DebbieBishir benefit). AldermanKupferermadeamotion to
approve the street closure as stated above. AldermanDenton seconded themotion. Motion carriedwith 8
Ayes and 0Nays.
JoeyBaud fromRedCedar Lanes requestedpermission for outsideentertainment on July 11, from
9PM-1AM. Last event citizen complained about volume. Acousticmusic is quieter and thiswill be a full
band. Mr. Baud stated that he is aware of the complaints and that theywill lower the volume so not tobe so
loud. Underage concern, PoliceChief tomeet withmanager about underage clients. AldermanCookmadea
motion to approve outside entertainment at RedCedar Lanes on July 11, from 9PM-1AM. Alderman Lesyna
seconded themotion. Motion carriedwith 8Ayes and 0Nays.
Paper Street Gallery request for street closure of the 100block of EastWashingtonStreet (Dixie
Highway toNorth Locust) onAugust 17, from11AM to 4PM. Time request changed to12PM-5PM. Yanni's is
still open at that time, that iswhy timewas changed. Art,music& entertainment, some stores topotentially
be open like sidewalk days. AldermanStraleymade amotion toapprove street closure asmentioned above.
AldermanKupferer seconded themotion. Motion carriedwith 8Ayes and 0Nays.
