JohnMetzwas absent.
Mayor Porter requestedamotion toallowAldermenDentonandStraley toattend themeeting via
teleconferencebecauseof work obligations. AldermanKupferermadeamotion toallowAldermenDentonand
Straley toattend themeeting via teleconference. AldermanNovaMetz seconded themotion. Motion carriedwith
5Ayes and0Nays. Mayor Porter declaredAldermanDentonandStraleyas present. Roll was then called for
AldermanDentonandStraleyas present.

Thebillswerediscussedat tonight'sBudget andFinanceCommitteeMeeting. Alderman Lesynamadea
motion toapprove thebills for payment. AldermanNovaMetz seconded themotionwithAldermenStraley, Nova
Metz, Steele, Kupferer, Cook andLesyna voting yes. AldermanDentonpassed.
CITIZENFORUM
KathyGrevenstuk requested street closurebetweenWashingtonandRiver Street onSeptember 13, 2014,
from 3-11PM for abenefit for her husbandat SluggersSportsBar. AldermanKupferermadeamotion toapprove
the street closureanddateasmentionedabove. AldermanCook seconded themotion. Motion carriedwith7
Ayes and0Nays.
JayKerouac addressedCouncil regardingabusiness being ranout of a residential homeacross the street
from his house; potentiallya landscapingand roofing company. Mr. Kerouac stated that hedoesn't believe that it
shouldbeallowed. It is a rental unit locatedat 503NorthLocust Street witha sign in the yard stating “Great
WesternStatesRoofing”. Concern is largeamount ofmaterial in yard (about oneweek). Mayor stated that the
Citywill check into thismatter.
