ANORDINANCEAUTHORIZINGTHESALEOF
SURPLUSPERSONALPROPERTYOWNEDBY
THECITYOFMOMENCE,
KANKAKEECOUNTY, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, theCityofMomence is the owner of 2005FordCrownVictoria vehicle;
and
WHEREAS, theCityCouncil of theCityofMomence finds that said vehicle is no longer
necessaryor useful to theCity in that, because of its age and condition, cannot be utilized for any
of theCity’s current needs or operations and is thereby considered as surplus personal property;
and
WHEREAS, theCityhas investigated sources for the sale of said surplus, and found that
aminimum value on resale for said vehicle of similar age, and type is $750.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE ITORDAINEDBYTHEMAYORANDCITY
COUNCILOFTHECITYOFMOMENCE,KANKAKEECOUNTY, ILLINOIS,
as
follows:
SECTION 1:
That pursuant to authoritygranted to theCityunder, 65 ILCS 5/11-76-4(1) of the
IllinoisCompiledStatutes and the findings of theCityCouncil of theCityofMomence as set
forth in the preamble of thisOrdinance and incorporated herein as part of thisOrdinance, the
CityofMomence is hereby authorized to sell the 2005FordCrownVictoria for aminimum bid
of $750.00. This is a sealed bid process. TheCityofMomence reserves the right to refuse any
and/or all bids submitted
.
SECTION 2:
The provisions and sections of this ordinance shall be deemed separable and the
invalidityof anyportion of this ordinance shall not affect the validityof the remainder.
SECTION 3:
That thisOrdinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage,
approval andpublication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
