TREASURERREPORT–Treasurer BeckyPeterson
Request Council approval for technical/accounting support at $100.00 per hour. Treasurer,
BeckyPetersonwould like to engage the services of BobGuest, who is familiar withTyler
Technology andwouldhelp get theCity’s books straight. Heworks through an accounting firm and
they charge $100per hour. Mayor Porter stated that Bobwas referred byTyler Technologies; he is
familiar with their software. TheCity hada glitch in the transfer of its financial information, with
errors that aredifficult to findout where they are. The financial informationwhichwas uploadedwas
not information that was fully audited. Treasurer Peterson stated she is able to balance accounts
that are not active. Payroll accounts are very difficult. Utility billingputswater and sewer and
garbage in three different accounts. Cash is going into general fundonceamonth. Also includes
the visa cardwhich only gets paidevery couple of months. It was suggested to set a limit of so
many hours. Mr. Guest will potentially be able to repair/balanceaccounts and set up reports that
will suit theCity’s needs. AldermanCookmade amotion to approve technical/accounting support at

Market Street Railroad crossing. AaronToliver, from ICCS, initiatedbecauseNorfolk is interested in
MapleStreet crossing. Requirementswould be: Wideningof curb, proposingplacingwarning
signals and gates onAsh andMarket Streets, a curbonnorth crossinggatemechanism, goal is to
makeall crossings as safeas possible. This agreement shows thebreakdown of theCity’s
involvement, agreement states that onceall agree needs to be donewithin a year. Alderman
