ANORDINANCEAMENDINGTHECITYOFMOMENCE’SLIQUOR
REGULATION’SORDINANCE
WHEREAS,
theCityCouncil of theCityofMomence, Illinois is chargedwith the continued administration and
oversight of theCityCodeBook; and
WHEREAS,
theCityCouncil of theCityofMomence, Illinois has established a liquor regulation ordinance; and
WHEREAS,
theCityCouncil of theCityofMomence, Illinois has determined that certain sections and subsections
of ordinance 302, datedFebruary20, 1984, which is part of the liquor regulation chapter, should be amended due to
outdated language; and
WHEREAS,
theCityCouncil of theCityofMomence, Illinois is aware that all liquor licenses expire onApril 30
th
of each year; and
WHEREAS,
theCityCouncil of theCityofMomence, Illinois has concluded that this ordinance shall take effect
immediatelyupon its passage due to the urgency reflected in the 10 (ten) day effective date of ordinances.
NOW, THEREFORE,
be it ordained by theCityCouncil of theCityofMomence, Illinois, as follows:
SECTION 1:
That Title 3, Chapter 2, Section6, SubsectionP andQ, of theCityCode of theCityofMomence,
Illinois, is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2:
That there is hereby added to theCityCode of theCityofMomence, Illinois, under and in
substitution for Title 3, Chapter 2, Section6, SubsectionQTitled ”APPLICATIONFORLICENSE”.
3-2-6: APPLICATIONFORLICENSE
(Q) That no license shall be issued to any applicant if the owner, or anypartner, shareholder, or residentmanager, of
said applicant is indebted to the city, county, State of Illinois, UnitedStates ofAmerica, or anydepartment thereof.
SECTION

That Title 3, Chapter 2, Section16, of theCityCode of theCityofMomence, Illinois, is hereby
repealed.
SECTION 4:
That there is hereby added to theCityCode of theCityofMomence, Illinois, under and in
substitution for Title 3, Chapter 2, Section16, Titled ”CHANGEOFLOCATION”.
3-2-16: CHANGEOFLOCATION:
The locationof a licensee’s place of businessmaynot be changed unless uponwrittenpermission first issued by the
liquor control commissioner.

That Title 3, Chapter 2, Section18, SubsectionB, of theCityCode of theCityofMomence, Illinois,
is hereby repealed.

That Title 3, Chapter 2, Section 27, of theCityCode of theCityofMomence, Illinois, is hereby
repealed.

That there is hereby added to theCityCode of theCityofMomence, Illinois, under and in
substitution for Title 3, Chapter 2, Section 27, titled
“LICENSEDPREMISES”.
