Steele, Kupferer, Cook, Lesynaand JohnMetz voting yes. AldermanStraley exited via
teleconference. Council entered into executive session at 8:02P.M. Returned fromExecutive
Sessionat 8:38P.M.
AldermanKupferermade amotion toapprove the full time hireof PoliceOfficer Jacob
Vekemans to start at entry level salary. AldermanCook seconded themotionwithAldermenDenton,
NovaMetz, Steele, Kupferer, Cook, Lesyna and JohnMetz voting yes.
Mayor Porter stated that RickySingleton lives on the south sideat the endof Vermont and is
inquiringabout apieceof property that is not utilized andhe iswanting to know if theCitywould
think about selling it. At one time, it was thought to use theproperty for truck parking. When looked
up, theproperty in questionmay have been for Vermont to run toHardinStreet. Property is the
City’s, likewe own analley. His house inadjacent toabovementionedproperty and he is interested
in possibly purchasing it. Alderman JohnMetz stated that when hemanagedMetzmanufacturing,
theneighborswere very opposed toa through street. Tobe looked into further.
