RESOLUTION 186
WHEREAS,
theCityofMomence is located in theCountyofKankakee, state of Illinois, and
deems its best interest is served byparticipating in theCommunityTourismActionPlan
Program; and
WHEREAS,
theCommunityTourismActionPlanProgram (CTAP) is a community-oriented
tourismmarketing and development investment program initiated by theKankakeeCounty
Convention andVisitorsBureau; and
WHEREAS,
theCityofMomence desires to realize its brand vision,meet its
community/destination challenges, and deliver on its tourism brand promise; and
WHEREAS,
theCityofMomence anticipates the initiatives to be sponsored by theChamber of
Commerce, ParkDistrict,MainStreet, and theCityofMomence; and
WHEREAS,
theCityCouncil of theCityofMomence, has previously approved two thousand
dollars ($2,000) on a twentypercent (20%)matchingbasis for a potential ten thousand dollar
($10,000) project funding.
THEREFORE,
be it resolved by
theCityCouncil of theCityofMomence, advising theMayor
of theCityofMomence to apply and sign appropriate documents to become party to theCTAP
program for community tourism partnership funding.
