ANORDINANCEREZONINGTHEPROPERTYAT 112EASTFOURTHSTREET.
WHEREAS, The property at 112East FourthStreet has historicallybeen utilized for residential purposes;
and
WHEREAS, that propertywill be sold for commercial redevelopment; and
WHEREAS, the potential newOwner of that propertyhas sought a rezoningof the property; and
WHEREAS, the potential newOwner of the propertyhas requested rezoningof the property to the B-2
categoryunder the ZoningOrdinance; and
WHEREAS, the PlanCommissionof theCityofMomence held a public hearingonThursday, September
15
th
, 2016, and recommended to theCityCouncil that the rezoningbe granted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE ITORDAINEDBYTHEMAYORANDCITYCOUNCILOFTHECITYOF
MOMENCE, KANKAKEECOUNTY, ILLINOIS, as follows:
SECTION 1: The property at 112East FourthStreet, withPINNo. 05-11-18-316-007, be hereby rezoned
from the single family residential R-1Zoning category to theB-2Business district, general retail andwholesale
services. TheZoningMap of theCityofMomence shall be amended to show this change in zoning.. The zoning
change requested herein is for the purpose of expanding adjoiningproperty for commercial use, but the zoning
change herein grantedwould permit, in compliancewith all other ordinances, anyother permitted B-2 use.
SECTION 2: ThisOrdinance shall be in full force and effect upon its passage, approval and publication in
pamphlet form as provided by law.
