Scott Behrends: Twowater leaks reportedhavebeen repaired (south-sideandRiver Street). Wants to
add toStreet andAlleyCommitteemeeting todiscuss street sweeper issues. Possibly look intopurchaseor lease
option. Street Sweeper, 1995, in bad shape and costing theCitymoney. Maybediscuss that if theydo find
something, beingable toact quickly topurchase; possibly financingup toa certainamount. Current sweeper
costingapproximately$5,000 - $6,000per year tomaintain.
Chief Swanson: openhouse thisSaturdayat PoliceDepartment, from11AM-2PM, offering information
about PoliceDepartment.
TREASURERREPORT–Treasurer BeckyPeterson: received first check for videogaming tax for November:
$464.23, includes oneestablishment within city limits that is upand running. DixieWineandTobaccohas video
gaming installed. Money goes intoGeneral Fund.
MAYORALREPORT
Survey–Cross connection survey. All water customerswill be receivinga letter/survey askingwater users
if theyhaveback flowpreventers, whichareneeded for homeswith sprinkler systems or swimmingpools.
Letter sent out regarding themunicipal aggregation. If youwant to switch then nothing is requiredof you, if
youwant to staywithComEd then youmust choose toopt out. It will be convertedwithin60days. If youhave
signeda contract withan independent electric supply company then youmust opt out.
