ANORDINANCEREZONINGTHEPROPERTYAT 124EASTRIVERSTREET.
WHEREAS, The property at 124East River Street has historicallybeen utilized for retail purposes; and
WHEREAS, that propertywill be sold for commercial redevelopment; and
WHEREAS, the potential newOwner of that propertyhas sought a rezoningof the property; and
WHEREAS, the potential newOwner of the propertyhas requested rezoningof the property to theM-1
categoryunder the ZoningOrdinance; and
WHEREAS, the PlanCommissionof theCityofMomence held a public hearingonThursday, January28,
2016, and recommended to theCityCouncil that the rezoningbe granted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE ITORDAINEDBYTHEMAYORANDCITYCOUNCILOFTHECITYOF
MOMENCE, KANKAKEECOUNTY, ILLINOIS, as follows:
SECTION 1: The property at 124East River Street, withPINNo. 05-11-19-104-021, be hereby rezoned
from the commercial B-1Zoning category to theM-1manufacturingdistrict, limited. TheZoningMap of theCity
ofMomence shall be amended to show this change in zoning.. The zoning change requested herein is for the
purpose ofmetal productsmanufacture, but the zoning change hereingrantedwould permit, in compliancewith all
other ordinances, anyother permittedM-1 use.
SECTION 2: ThisOrdinance shall be in full force and effect upon its passage, approval and publication in
pamphlet form as provided by law.
