Additional RestrictionsApplyingToCorporationsOnly
:
a. No liquor license shall be issued to any corporation unless it is incorporated in Illinois, or unless
it is a foreign corporation, which is qualified and registered under the Illinois Business
CorporationAct to transact business in Illinois.
b. By accepting a license a limited liability corporation agrees that the corporation and its
shareholders shall remain subject to the obligations and liabilities set forth in thisChapter 2.
3-2-9: CLASSIFICATIONOFLICENSESANDSCHEDULEOFFEES
There shall be the following classes of liquor licenses, which shall authorize the sale of alcoholic liquor as provided
below:
A.
Class A: A class A license shall authorize the selling of any and all kinds of alcoholic beverages, either in
original packages for consumption off of the premises or by the drink for consumption on the premises and shall
allow the establishment issued the license to be open for business six (6) days aweek,Monday throughSaturday.
B
Class B: A class B license shall authorize an establishment which has been issued any other classification
of license to sell alcoholic beverages of whatever kind and in whatever form said classification so authorizes on
Sunday.
C.
Class C: A class C license shall authorize the selling of alcoholic beverages in original packages only for
consumption off the premises and shall not authorize said establishment to sell liquor by the drink to be consumed
on the premises.
D.
Class D: A class D license shall authorize the selling of alcoholic beverages only in conjunction with the
service of food to said person ordering the alcoholic beverage and shall not authorize the establishment so issued a
class D license to maintain a portion of the establishment upon which persons may be served alcoholic beverages
without food.
E.
Class E: A class E catering license shall authorize the selling of alcoholic beverages anywhere in the city
where the licensee is acting as an off-site caterer, in conjunction with parties, or events where the licensee is also
providing food services. During any quarterly period, the income the licensee derives from the sale of food, must
comprise at least fifty percent (50%) of the gross revenue of the amount earned from the sale of food and alcoholic
beverages at such parties or events. In addition to the other requirements of this section, a class E license shall only
be issued to those personswho possess a valid and current classAor classD license.
