AldermanLesyna: Motionneeded to approve the estimatedTax Levy and toput the specific
amount in themotionwhichwasmentionedon theDecember 7

CityCouncil Meeting. Alderman
Lesyna spoke toCityAttorneyStewart Diamond, emergencymeetingneeded becauseof theTruth
inTaxation, Legislation#1: At least twenty days prior to thepassageof the tax levy ordinance, the
municipality’s corporate authoritiesmust estimate the amount of the tax levy. This estimate should
be announcedat ameetingof the corporateauthorities and shouldbe approvedby amajority of the
corporate authorities. Council is approving the 4.99% increase20days beforeCouncil is going to
vote on the tax levy ordinance. AldermanNovaMetzmadeamotion to approve theestimatedLevy
as discussed at theDecember 7CityCouncil Meeting of theTax Levy at 4.99% in theamount of
$415,266 of which is an increase of $19,737. AldermanKupferer seconded themotionwith
AldermenDenton, Navratil, NovaMetz, Steele, Kupferer, Cook, Lesyna and JohnMetz voting yes.
