whereas,
the
city
of
Momence
is
located
in
the state
of
Illinois;
and
Whereas,
the
State
of
Illinois,
Deparhnent
of
Transportation
has
adopted
policies

rmplementation
of
Safe
Routes
to
Schools (SRTS) Projects,
subject
to the approval
by
the
Iltinois
Deparfinent of Transportation
(IDOT)
and concurrence
from
the
Federal
Highway
Administration
(F[IWA);
and
Whereas,
those polices require
tliat
to
receive SRTS funding
through
the
State
of
Illinois
Deparfnenl
of
Transiortation,
a
project
sponsor
must submit
an SRTS
project
application_
and
a
resolution stating the
City
will
fund
the
required
local
20oh match
for
all
phases
of
the project,
which
will
be
available through
the
life
of
the
project.
Now,
therefore,
be
it
resolyed
that the
City of
Momence
applies
for
SRTS
funding
for
the
Momence
Junior
High
School
Sidewalk Extension on
West
River
Street
and Virden
Street
including
speed
notification
signs
on certain
streets.
Be
it
further
resolved that the
city
of
Mombnce hereby
agrees
that
it
will
allocate
funds
for
the
20Yo
local
match
for
all
ptr*"r
of
the project,
to
the
Momence
Junior
High
School
Sidewalk
Extension on
Wist
River
Street
and
Virden Steet
including
speed
notification
signs
on
certain
steets,
so
long
as
the project
is
programmed
in
the
State
of
Illinois,
Departrrent ofTransportation

List
of
Projects'
