ROLLCALL
Roll was called by theClerkwithAldermenDenton, NovaMetz, Steele, Kupferer, Cook,
Lesyna and JohnMetz present. Alsopresent wasMayorMickPorter. AldermanStraleywas absent
because of work obligations.
Mayor Porter requested amotion to allowAldermanStraley toattend themeeting via
teleconferencebecause of work obligations. Alderman Kupferermade amotion toallowAlderman
Straley to attend themeeting via teleconference. Alderman novaMetz seconded themotion.
Motion carriedwith 7 ayes 0 nays. Mayor Porter declaredAldermanStraley present. Roll was then
called forAldermanStraley as present.
APPROVALOFPREVIOUSMEETINGMINUTES
Changesmadewith pen need tobe initialedon permanentminutes. AldermanCookmadea
motion to approve theRegular andExecutiveSessionminutes of theSeptember 15, 2014, Council
Meetingas presented. AldermanNovaMetz seconded themotionwithAldermenStraley, Nova
Metz, Steele, Kupferer, Cook, Lesyna and JohnMetz voting yes. AldermanDentonpassed.
APPROVALOFTHEBILLS
The billswere discussed at tonight'sBudget andFinanceCommitteeMeeting. Alderman
Lesynamade amotion to approve the bills for payment, with the exception of theArt’s Landscaping
bill, whichwasmiscoded. AldermanKupferer seconded themotionwithAldermenDenton, Nova
Metz, Steele, Kupferer, Cook, Lesyna and JohnMetz voting yes. AldermanStraley passed.
CITIZENFORUM
KaileySpencer approachedCouncil requestingdates for aCampus LifeTagDay to raise
funds toprovide snacks etc., for the children that attendCampus Life events. Date requestedwas
Saturday, November 1, from8AM to 1PMat the corners of Dixie andRiver Street/WashingtonStreet
andSecondStreet. Adult leaderswill be at this event to supervise; HighSchool student leaderswill
