RESOLUTIONAPPROVINGAN INTERGOVERNMENTALAGREEMENTWITH
THESTATEOF ILLINOISANDAPPROPRIATINGFUNDSFORTHEWASHINGTON
STREETSTREETSCAPE IMPROVEMENTSPROJECT
WHEREAS,
The City of Momence has determined that there is need to repair deteriorated
sidewalk and install streetscape enhancements along Washington Street to improve pedestrian
access andbeautify the corridor; and
WHEREAS,
said project has been approved by the Illinois Department of Transportation to
receive Federal Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program (ITEP) Funds for 80% of participating
ConstructionandConstructionEngineering costs; and
WHERAS,
in order to obtain federal funding of local highway improvements, the City of
Momence is required, under Illinois Department of Transportation policies, to enter into an agreement
for the fundingof said local improvements; and
WHERAS,
the attached intergovernmental agreement between the State of Illinois and the
City of Momence defines the Local Agency participation in the improvement and the estimated local
share of the cost of the improvement, said agreement attached hereto and hereby made a part
hereof.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,
by the City of Momence, Illinois, that the attached
intergovernmental agreement is hereby approved and that there is hereby appropriated the Local
Agency share sum of ninety eight thousand nine hundred and fifteen dollars ($98,915) from the City
General Fund; and
BE ITFURTHERRESOLVED,
that this project is hereby designated asSection 10-00059-00-
LT; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,
that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute said
Agreement.
