ANORDINANCEAMENDINGANORDINANCEREGARDINGRESTRICTIVE
PARKING
WHEREAS,
theCityCouncil of theCity ofMomence, Illinois desires to ensure the
safety andwell being of its citizens, inhabitants, and all other persons
traveling on the streetswithin theCity limits of theCity ofMomence,
Illinois; and
WHEREAS,
theCity ofMomence, Illinois, has determined that an ordinance should be
established concerning time limit parking on certain streets; and
WHEREAS,
theCityCouncil of theCity ofMomence, Illinoiswishes to amend theCity
Code, specifically under a portion of theCode known asTitle 8, Chapter
2, Section 7, titled “
TIMELIMITPARKING
”.
NOW, THEREFORE,
be it ordained by theCityCouncil of theCity ofMomence,
Illinois as follows:
SECTION 1:
That Title 8, Chapter 2, Sections 7, titled “TIMELIMITPARKING”, of
theCityCode of theCityofMomence, Illinois, is hereby repealed
.
SECTION 2:
That there is hereby added to theCityCode of theCity ofMomence,
Illinois, under and in substitution for Title 8, Chapter 2, Section 7, titled
“
TIMELIMITPARKING”

8-2-7:TIMELIMITPARKING:
(A)PURPOSE:
Except on holidays, it shall be unlawful to park any vehicle for a longer consecutive
periodof time than that designated, between the hours of eight o’clock (8:00)A.M. and
six o’clock (6:00) P.M. in any area designated as a limited parking area and somarked.
(B)DEFINITIONS:
In this Section and throughout theCity ofMomenceCodeBook:
LOT#1: City lot on the north side ofRiver Street, and east ofDixieHighway.
LOT#2: City lot on the south side ofRiver Street, and east ofDixieHighway.
LOT#3: City lot on the south side ofRiver Street, andwest ofDixieHighway.
LOT#4: City lot on the north side ofWashingtonStreet, andwest ofDixieHighway.
LOT#5: City lot on the north side ofMill Street, and east ofDixieHighway.
