Class E: A classE catering license shall authorize the sellingof alcoholic beverages anywhere in
the citywhere the licensee is acting as a caterer, in conjunctionwithparties, or eventswhere the
licensee is also providing food services. During any quarterlyperiod, the income the licensee
derives from the sale of food,must comprise at least 50 percent of the gross revenue of the
amount earned from the sale of food and alcoholic beverages at such parties or events. In
addition to the other requirements of this section, a class E license shall onlybe issued to those
personswhopossess a valid and current ClassAorClassD license. There shall be amaximum
of four (4) class E licenses only. There shall be no license fee for aClassE license.
(F)
Class F: Class F license shall authorize the retail sale of alcoholic beverages for consumptionon
premiseswhere food is sold. Alcoholic beverages shall only be served at tables or other
designated areas, but shall not be sold across a bar to any patrons sitting or standing there for any
period exceedingwhat is necessary for the patron toorder and obtain the product sold. There
shall be amaximumof one (1) class F license
Nothing contained herein shall prevent any establishment fromobtainingmultiple license
classifications for the purpose of combining themethods andmeans bywhich alcoholic
beverages are soldupon the premises.
SECTION 3:
That Title 3, Chapter 2, Section 9, titled “LICENSEFEES”, of theCityCode of theCityof
Momence, Illinois, is hereby repealed.
SECTION 4:
That there is hereby added to theCityCode of theCityofMomence, Illinois, under and in
substitution for Title 3, Chapter 2, Section9, titled “LICENSEFEES”.
3-2-9: LICENSEFEES:
The per annum fees for liquor licenses shall be as follows:
ClassA license $800.00
ClassB license $300.00
ClassC license $800.00
ClassD license $800.00
Class F license $1,100.00
The fees so due for said license shall be payable onor beforeMay1
st
of each year.
All payments shall be payable in advance at the time of filing an application for said license.
SECTION 5:
That there is hereby added to theCityCode of theCityofMomence, Illinois, under Title 3,
Chapter 2, Section9, titled “HOURSOFSALE”.
3-2-17:HOURSOFSALE:
(E)No class F licensee shall permit to be sold any alcoholic liquor between the hours of teno’clock (10:00)
P.M. and sixo’clock (6:00)A.M. onMonday, Tuesday,Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, andSaturdayof
eachweek, and between the hours of teno’clock (10:00) P.M. and eleveno’clock (11:00)A.M. onSunday
of eachweek. No class F licensee shall permit any alcoholic liquor tobe given away. A class F license
holder shall clear the premises of all patrons at or prior to ten thirtyo’clock (10:30) P.M. unless such
patrons are engaged in legal commercial activitywhich does not involve the sale or consumption of
alcoholic liquor.
SECTION 6:
The provisions and sections of this ordinance shall be deemed separable and the invalidityof
anyportionof this ordinance shall not affect the validity of the remainder.
