ANORDINANCEAMENDINGANORDINANCECONCERNING
RESIDENTIALPARKINGONHILLSTREETANDWESTTHIRDSTREET
WHEREAS,
theCityCouncil of theCityofMomence, Illinois is chargedwith the
continued administration and oversight of theCityCodeBook; and
WHEREAS,
theCityCouncil of theCityofMomence, Illinois is concerned that parking
onHill Street andWest ThirdStreet in connectionwith events takingplace at St. Pats
gym has interferedwith residential parking onHill Street andWest ThirdStreet; and
WHEREAS,
theCityCouncil of theCityofMomence, Illinois has determined that Hill
Street betweenSecond andFourthStreet, andWest ThirdStreet, betweenHill Street and
FranklinStreet, shall be resident and guest onlyparking.
NOW, THEREFORE,
be it ordained by theCityCouncil of theCityofMomence,
Illinois, as follows:
SECTION 1:
That Title 8, Chapter 2, Section 18, SubsectionA of theCityCode of the
CityofMomence, Illinois, is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2:
That there is hereby added to theCityCode of theCityofMomence the
following, under Title 8, Chapter 2, Section 18, SubsectionA:
8-2-18:CERTAINSTREETS;RESIDENTIALPARKINGONLY:
(A)At any time it shall be unlawful to permit anyvehicular parking, except for
residents, and their guests, immediately adjacent thereto on the following streets:
OregonStreet
The southeast corner of Second andMarket Street
The southeast corner of Third andPineStreet
The southwest corner of Pine andWashingtonStreets

TheWest side ofHill Street betweenSecond andFourthStreets
West ThirdStreet betweenHill andFranklinStreets
