RESOLUTIONOFSUPPORTANDCOMMITMENTOF LOCALFUNDS
ResolutionNo. 188
WHEREAS, theCityofMomence, is applying to the Stateof Illinois for aCommunityDevelopment
BlockGrant (CDBG) program,
WHEREAS, it isnecessary that anapplicationbemadeandagreementsbeentered intowith theState
of Illinois, and
WHEREAS, criteriaof CDAPare such that financial participationby thegrantee is required in
conjunctionwithCDAP funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE ITRESOLVEDas follows:
1) that theCityofMomenceapply for agrant under the terms and conditionsof the Stateof
Illinois and shall enter intoandagree to theunderstandings andassurances contained in
saidapplication.
2) that theMayor andCityClerkonbehalf of theCityofMomenceexecute suchdocuments
andall other documentsnecessary for the carryingout of saidapplication.
3) that theMayor andCityClerkof theCityofMomence areauthorized toprovide such
additional informationasmaybe required toaccomplish theobtainingof suchgrant.
4) that theaccommodations for thehireof 16additional employees (by Silva International,
Inc.) haveanestimated cost of $1,300,000 regarding theprivateexpendituresof Silva
International, Inc.
5) that theCityofMomencedoes hereby commit funds from its corporateand/or eligible
accounts for use in conjunctionwith: an IllinoisCommunityDevelopment BlockGrant
(CDBG) grant in theamount of $150,000; IllinoisDepartment of transportation/Economic
Development Program (IDOT-EDP) funding source in theamount of $548,750; Illinois
Department of Transportation-TruckAccessRouteProgram (IDOT-TARP) in theamount of
$49,000; andKankakeeCounty in theamount of $150,000 -- such funds committedby the
CityofMomence toequal approximately18.2%of theestimated total project cost of
$1,097,500or $199,750.
